For the Curry

  • 250g paneer (cottage cheese), cubed
  • 1 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 2 tbsp oil or ghee
  • ½ cup fresh cream (optional)

Spices

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste

  1. Sauté Base: Heat oil, add cumin seeds, then onions. Sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add Tomatoes & Spices: Add ginger-garlic paste, tomato puree, turmeric, and coriander powder. Cook until oil separates.
  3. Add Peas: Stir in green peas and cook 5–6 minutes on low flame.
  4. Add Paneer: Gently fold in paneer cubes and simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  5. Finish: Sprinkle garam masala and swirl in fresh cream before serving.
  6. Serve: Hot with naan, roti, or rice.
